Untitled
watercolour
(loading dye and water)
108cm x 157cm
2009
The painting references the range of scales that cardiovascular scientists must consider when conceiving and executing their research. The rectangular forms are based on my body proportions. The range of colour in the painting reflects the variability both within us and among the human population, while the composition of colour is a balance of order/disorder, predictability/unpredictability, and rhythm/arrhythmia.
